Biography:
Colleen A. Carson joined BaskinFleece in 2007. Ms. Carson focuses her practice on Estate Planning, Probate Administration and Trust Administration. Ms. Carson is currently serving as the President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Clearwater Bar Association and formerly served as a Board Member, Treasurer/Secretary, and president -elect of the Clearwater Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division. She is also a member and Treasurer of the Pinellas County Estate Planning Council. Ms. Carson is a member of the Suncoast Estate Planning Council, serves on the Furman University Planned Giving Advisory Board and on the Suncoast Hospice Planning Giving Advisory Board. Ms. Carson was an integral part in the chartering of the Rotary Club of Clearwater at Feather Sound, of which she is the Foundation Chair.
In 2010, Ms. Carson was an integral part in writing a grant to the Young Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar Association seeking a grant to start an "Interview for Success" program in Pinellas County, Florida. Ms. Carson's team, through the Clearwater Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, won top grant funding. The Interview for Success program will provide the following services to at risk teens and teens aging out of foster care: provide appropriate interviewing attire; interviewing packages that contain sample resumes, cover letters and interview questions; and resume paper, envelopes and stamps. The program will also administer mock interviews and provide critiques to the participants. During 2010 and 2011, Ms. Carson has worked with the Young Lawyers and Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch to implement the Interviewing for Success program.
