Hamden H. Baskin, III joined Joseph W. Fleece, III in 2004 to establish the law firm, BaskinFleece, Attorneys at Law, specializing in the areas of probate, trust, and fiduciary litigation, administration, and estate planning. Mr. Baskin, rated AV by Martindale Hubbell, has practiced over 20 years in the Tampa Bay area. He has extensive trial experience, and has handled complex transactional, corporate and commercial matters.
Mr. Baskin has lectured on Probate Administration and has written an article on Income Taxation of Trusts, and served, by special judicial appointment, as Special Master for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court, hearing cases under Florida's Baker Act. He also served as staff attorney for the Oklahoma Court of Appeals, and as a law clerk for the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. Mr. Baskin was appointed "Special Prosecutor" by Circuit Judge Thomas E. Pennick to prosecute court appointed guardians for criminal contempt in the handling of their wards.
Mr. Baskin currently serves on the Board of Trustees at All Children's Hospital. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Directions for Mental Health, where he served as President of the Board of Directors. He has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Clearwater since 1986 and a member of the executive council for the Oklahoma City University Law School. He is also a member of the Inns of Court. Mr. Baskin has appeared numerous times on CNN, Scarborough Country and other news related shows.
