A Revocable Trust is a document you create to manage your assets during your lifetime.

A Revocable Trust is a document you create to manage your assets during your lifetime, including at your incapacity. The Trustee is the person responsible for managing the assets of the Trust. You may act as the Trustee during your lifetime, or you may appoint another person, bank, or Trust company to act as the Trustee. If you become incapacitated, the acting Trustee has the authority to manage your assets, invest the assets, and ensure your expenses are being paid from the assets of the Trust. Upon your death, the acting Trustee will pay the claims and taxes of your Trust, and distribute the balance of the Trust funds to your named beneficiaries.  Back to Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning
